Tooth number 4!

Muffin lost her first top tooth! In the middle of dinner she stopped eating, reached for the tooth and just pulled it out. Brave girl! And of course now we have a toothy smile, and two new shining dollar coins from the tooth fairy. Loving her new smile!

Muffin is six years old!!

When she woke up yesterday the first thing she asked us was “Am I taller now that I’m six?” She was soooo excited to have her birthday!

I made a special breakfast (French toast), and we went to the beach for some fun in the sand. She kept wanting to go deeper into the water, I had to keep reminding her that the beach is NOT a pool and that she had to watch the waves. We made a small sand castle which was decorated with shells, and we covered her tail with san in the shape of a mermaid’s tale (which was dismantled by her before Daddy could take a picture).

Her choice for dessert that night was ice cream, so off we went to Coldstone Creamery with our free ice cream coupon for her. And per her request, we put a single candle on top of her ice cream and softly sang happy birthday to her. All in all a fab day!

Graduation!!

Muffin graduated from Kindergarten!! It was a beautiful event, very well orchestrated by her teacher & the staff. All children won an 'award', and Muffin won the "Most Polite" award (which she certainly is!).

Can't believe that first grade is just a hop & a skip away, wasn't she a baby just a little bit ago? Sniff!!

Dance Recital!

Muffin's recital was last weekend, and boy was she adorable! Of course, after the recital, she and her friend decided to play backstage with makeup her friend had brought... let's just say she had fun with the lipstick and glitter and an emergency bath was needed that night, LOL!

Froggy

Muffin had a wonderful time last Sunday at our local church's little festival. The only ride she wanted to do was riding cars, guess what car she's "driving" in this picture?

She also wanted to play a froggy splash game - you put a rubber frog on a contraption, hit a lever with a mallet, and the froggy flies into a pond full of moving plastic lilly pads. If your rubber frog lands inside, you win a plush frog.

Muffin quickly realized she couldn't hit the mallet well, so I offered... and I quickly realized how hard it was so.... Muffindad got volunteered. Poor daddy somehow survived the pressure and he WON !! (yeah for daddy !!)

So now we have a new Froggy at our home, and Muffin has been busy taking care of him - feeding him 'flies', and making sure he takes naps and goes to bed on time. Very cute!!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, she's "driving a fire truck ;)

Tooth Fairy

Muffin lost her first tooth!!

She was having fun at a playgroup, when she came over and handed Muffindad a little wet something. Sure enough it was her tooth! Everyone danced and cheered for her!

Then we put the tooth in a soft gauzy bag, and placed it under her pillow.

Sure enough, the next morning she had 2 shiny gold coins in her gauzy bag! Plus a lovely letter from the tooth fairy and a brand new piggy bank to congratulate her on her first tooth.

Muffin was over the moon with her "two money" (as she called her 2 dollar coins, LOL). Plus she's got another loose tooth... good times!!
